Sophie’s Style Edit: Seasonal Transition Outfits
Who is excited for spring?! As the weather finally starts getting warmer, it’s time to transition your wardrobe to spring and summer! These outfit ideas will help you pick your seasonal transition staples. In between seasons is a great time to get creative with your styling ideas. You can create such a variety of outfits just by layering different options and getting creative. There’s a lot of new trends that we will see in the transitional season in fashion and beauty and I can’t wait to give them a try. Here are some of my favorite outfits so far and hopefully it can give you all some inspo on your season to season transitional outfits!
- COOGI SWEATERS
The coogi sweater is the perfect transitional wardrobe item. It’s a great way to bring in different prints and colors to liven up your in-between-seasons fit. I found mine at a thrift store which is usually your best bet on where to find them, but I know you could definitely find some on Depop and other resell sites as well. This is also a great way to shop sustainably online if you can’t go thrifting in person! They can be styled with pants, jeans, a skirt, or anything you desire and some cute booties, perfect for wearing before it gets warm enough to wear sandals!
Shirt: Thrifted
Pants: H&M
Shoes: Doc Martens
2. SHEER TIGHTS - shown paired with a button up and booties or knit sweater and loafers
In between seasons is a perfect time to layer different shades of tights with skirts to add some dimension to your outfit while staying warm. I think it makes an outfit look so cute and dresses it up. A fitted black mini skirt is a must because they can be paired with so many types of tops and look perfect with any color tights.
Shirt: Button up: thrifted
Sweater: H&M
Skirt: Depop
Shoes: Booties: Doc Martens
Loafers: Zara
3. SLEEVELESS VESTS - Cool to warm layers
As much as I love dressing up, I spend the majority of my time in sweats or something comfy. Here’s a cute way I tried to style an outfit for everyday things like running errands, classes, etc. A fleece vest, or really any vest, is such a cute look in the winter. It allows you to layer and feel warm while still looking stylish and fresh. I paired my vest with a turtleneck underneath and some leggings which added some layers but still made the outfit very comfortable.
Vest: H&M
Leggings: Lululemon
Shoes: New Balance 530
4. New neutrals: blush pink
There is nothing I love more than putting neutrals together, especially this season’s new neutrals. It’s a great way to look put together without having loud clashing colors, especially in between seasons. One of the best places I’ve found to get neutrals is Skims. Their shirts are SO comfortable and flattering and I’ve been quite obsessed lately. They are a bit on the pricier side but let me tell you, they are worth your money!
Shirt: Skims
Pants: H&M
Shoes: Nike AF1
5. KNITWEAR + LOOSE COTTON
Knitwear and loose cotton are perfect for a light neutral or monochrome fit in between seasons. I am just not someone that enjoys wearing fitted pants or jeans, especially when I have a long day filled with walking to classes or activities. I’ve found that loose cotton pants are the way to go and can be styled so many ways while still staying comfy and fashionable. They are easy to style with loose sweaters while still looking put together.
Sweater: H&M
Pants: Adika
Shoes: Pitaya
6. MATCHING SETS: FOREST GREEN
A matching set is always a cute option, and I have been loving forest green this season. This shade is perfect from Fall/Winter to Spring/Summer collections. A matching set is my go to, whether that be for sweatsuits or more ‘formula’ outfits. They also work for fusion outfits to show fof a bit of culture, which is why I love this one from Pakistani label Khaadi (they have a US site as well!) because it can so easily be dressed down with some sneakers like I did here, or could be dressed up with some heels and jewelry. On top of everything, it is SO comfy and works for western or eastern wear.
Matching Set: Khaadi
Shoes: Nike AF1
I hope you all enjoyed these outfits and find something you like from them. Remember to not be afraid to go out of your comfort zone with fits because I think this is the best time to do it - you can get SO creative in between seasons! I can’t wait to see what new trends we’ll see this season and this whole year. May you have an amazing blessed season filled with cute fits and fun adventures. Love, Sophie!
